Reflection
For this video, in particular, I was most proud of was our fake situation, I think we came up with really good characters and a good story. When we filmed our video it turned out looking really good because of the background and I am also very proud of that. Overall my partner was very encouraging during this video, I think the most encouraging thing was just us being excited to film our video because we work really well together and we really liked our video idea. Specific language
1. ¿Cómo se llama tu perro?/What is your dog's name? : This can be used when talking to someone about their dog but it is also a model for asking someone else's name. I would use this if I was at a dog park or saw someone walking their dog on the street.
2. ¿Vives por aquí?/Do you live around here?: You can ask this when you meet someone and are making small talk with them. I would use this if I was talking to someone about where we are, it is a good transition to a similar but different topic.
3. Me llamo ______/My name is______: This is a key phrase when meeting someone for the first time. You can use with when introducing yourself to a new person.
4. ¿Donde trabajas?Where do you work?: You can ask this question if someone mentions their work, this is a good conversation starter. I would use this at a party where there might be a lot of adults, this can open the conversation up.
5. Hola, Adios/Hello Goodbye: These are staple words you need to be able to speak to anyone in Spanish. I would use these if I ran into anyone on the street, around the house, at school. Hola, Adios are words you have to use on a daily basis and you cant really speak spanish without them.
If I had to give myself a grade for my midterm I would give my self an A. I think I should get an A because I was always on trash when we had time to work on our conversations. Grace and I constantly practiced and got feedback from Aaron to make sure our conversation made sense. Finally, our video turned out really good, I may have messed up a few time but that shows how I was able to push through those mistakes and our video still looks really good.
